What do Carbs and Blood Sugar have to do with Weight Loss?

Carbs and blood sugar affect weight loss, because simple carbs are easily converted into glucose and breakdown faster in the stomach and small intestines. They can enter the blood stream within thirty minutes of being consumed. This is a fuel source for the organs, the central nervous system and the kidneys.

Low carb diets in many cases provide less than 60 grams of carbohydrates per day and this can be the wrong type of diet for maintaining perfect body health. These types of diets are often high in saturated fat and restrict things such as fruit, fiber, breads, vegetables and cereals. All which the body needs to stay healthy.

These types of diets do not meet the daily health standards; instead they recommend things such as bacon, butter and mayonnaise, all of which are high in fat content.
