Herbs and Weight Loss |
One of the aids that some dieters use is herbal supplements along with their diet in order to help lose weight. This can include many different herbals that assist in promoting weight loss, such as green tea, Hoodia, and others. Some of these herbal supplements have had research done that has shown they can assist in weight loss, while other herbals have not had enough research done to prove either way whether or not they can assist in weight loss. There are herbal supplements that assist by making the dieter feel full, while others are an appetite suppressant. There are also some herbals that provide energy along with suppressing the appetite and some are not safe for people with diabetes as they can cause blood sugars to dip dangerously low, or worsen the ability to absorb insulin. The dieter that has diabetes should consult a physician prior to beginning use of the herbal supplements. |
